For the past 60 years, Florence, Italy has been home to Pitti Uomo. This influential event takes place biannually and showcases the latest in men’s fashion. In addition to high fashion, Pitti Uomo offers a first look at what’s trending in ready-to-wear. The event brings together important designers from around the world and is considered the preeminent global tradeshow for menswear. It attracts notable retailers and fashion enthusiasts, making it a can’t miss event for anyone passionate about menswear.
Pitti Uomo is without a doubt one of my favourite events to shoot street style. There is a nice mix of sartorial and streetwear. Every direction presents something interesting to capture. What more could a photographer want?
And you can’t beat Florence during the summer months—from beautiful food and architectural gems, to boutique shopping and incredible art—every corner of this historic city reveals a new treasure.
