Elena S.V. Palomo is a Finnish-Spanish sculptor and ceramic artist whose work bridges organic forms with raw, tactile textures. Based between Helsinki and Barcelona, she crafts abstract ceramic sculptures that explore movement, harmony, and tension, often drawing inspiration from nature and the human body. At the start of 2025 I had the pleasure of documenting her creative process, revealing the deep connection between her hands-on craftsmanship and the material’s transformation.
One of the central activities at Le Costantine is the preservation of traditional hand-weaving techniques. It houses a weaving workshop ("Tessitura"), where skilled artisans create beautiful textiles using traditional looms. The products often include rugs, tapestries, and other decorative items, inspired by the region’s rich cultural motifs.
Le Costantine has become a symbol of how cultural preservation and sustainability can coexist, making it a unique destination for those interested in art, culture, and nature.
